Rev Up Autoshow 2025

It’s been a weird Summer here in terms of weather, with Calgary seeing more than twice the average rainfall for July. All of the heavy rain made it hard to enjoy car season. This meant fewer meet ups, events, and even just driving in general. I’m not sure how everyone else felt, but I definitely got that itch to do “car things” and Rev Up was the next highly anticipated event that would scratch that itch. Leading up to the event, we all had our fingers crossed for a nice weather forecast, but the odds did not end up playing in our favour. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t stop the show from going on.

The Rev Up Auto Show tour is the premiere import tuner event in Alberta and Vancouver and it brings out some of the top talent in the area and surrounding, While this year was quieter than last, there still was many great cars in attendance. It’s still remains to be a great time to see some new cars as well as the usual suspects.

We pulled up into the Convention Centre but we were a little early so the event coordinators had us wait in the loading dock, which gave everyone an opportunity to clean off their cars before staging them in the main hall. Also waiting were the First Gear Auto crew and some others. I snapped some quick photos in the loading area once I got my car dried off.

Thank goodness for fresh ceramic coating. I had just detailed and applied Cerakote ceramic coating on the Thursday prior to the show. Big thank you to Black Box Automotive for supplying all of the Cerakote products. I applied their paint coating, glass coating, and tire coating. The paint is feel super slick to the touch and is insanely hydrophobic now. I barely needed to clean up the car even after the heavy rainfall and driving through the wet roads.

Black Box Automotive kept it pretty small this year, bringing in my car, Ricky’s A90 Supra on a fresh set of Advan GTs, and Anthony’s Series 10 Kraftwerks powered FR-S.

Jamie pulled up in his Track built RSX with Brandon as his passenger princess.

First Gear Project’s Mugen FD2 Civic Type R. Looking good with a new set of TWS Motorsport T66-F wheels.

Jon making sure his ASM S2000 is spot free. Equipped with ASM front and rear bumper, rear wing, hood and side skirts, Jon’s S2000 is nearly complete down to the BBS Clearway wheels. Jon also has ASM fenders in his possession but hasn’t quite committed to them yet - but in due time, I’m sure we will see them on his car. Stopping this roaster is a set of Alcon calipers. Such a well executed car and it shows…

Carried through into the interior is the ASM theme with a pair of ASM Recaro RS-G racing buckets, each with an ASM side bolster and steering wheel. Jon also has the carbon door cards from EVS Tuning.

Phuong made the trip down from Edmonton in his FL5 Civic Type R. Sporting aero from Spoon, Varis, and Voltex, this FL5 has a unique green coloured theme carried throughout the exterior which you’ll see later down in this post.

Starting to move into the main stage, this 1st gen Toyota Celica is rolling on a set of 3 piece SSR Dori Dori Mesh wheels.

Volkswagen MKV GTI with a NEUSPEED Thunder Bunny bumper and SSR Professor SP1 wheels, which Ricky was stoked to see as they once lived on his GTI and now they continue to be loved of on another GTI.

Yifan of Sub 60 Racing based i Edmonton also made the trip down to attend with his pristine Mazda RX-7. If you’ve been on the internet in recent time, you’ve probably seen this car. With only the best parts and a surgical level of craftsmanship to match, Yifan yielded perfection in this RX-7.

A close up of Ricky’s Supra while we were waiting in the loading dock before entering the hall. Ricky’s been out of the scene for a bit ever since he parted out his MKV GTI, but since the acquisition of his Supra he’s been slowly getting back into the tuning scene. He just got his Advan GTs a few month earlier and finished off his stance with the help of a set of springs to get the height just right.

David of Import Bible also made the trek down from Edmonton. This was my first time seeing this Datsun 240Z. I loved the colour and presence of this car. I’m not well versed in Datsuns so I’m not sure what has all been done here exactly. Not pictured here are a rare set of long discontinued Work Equip Spirit 33 wheels.

A pair of showroom condition RX-7s from Sub 60 Racing… Not pictured is a third matching white RX-7 and NA Miata from Sub 60 Racing both in the same flawless condition.

Entering the main hall, this Liberty Walk GTR from Garage 111 commands your attention. Aired out on a gold set of 3 piece Vossen M-X6 wheels.

As per Garage 111, the claim to fame for this GTR is that this is the first moulded Liberty Walk Silhouette V3 in Canada and second in the world. The first reported moulded kit was completed in the Philippines.

Only one of Adeem’s small collection of Imola Orange S2000s. This one he drives and enjoys regularly during the driving season. Notable modifications are rare brown factory seats, MITA Motorsport MS-10 wheels, OEM front lip and OEM decklid spoiler.

Daniel’s Toyota Hilux pickup truck with a camping setup. I’m unfamiliar with the front bumper set-up but it looks to maybe be a custom made one. The height and wheel size looks great.

Victor’s 5th gen TRD Off-Road 4Runner lifted on TE37 Progressive wheels wrapped in 33” tires. On-top he has a Sherpa roof rack to hold his Go Overland camper tent and awning. Victor goes camping almost every weekend with this truck, but he keeps it clean.

Eric’s newly acquired NA1 NSX. I’s Impact front lip rounds out the front along with a large vented hood. Stoptech ST40 brakes, front and rear help stop the TE37SLs. Inside you will find a pair of red Recaro Pole Positions and moving towards the back you’ll find the Downforce skirts bridging the front end to the rear. Underneath the rear window you can peer into the engine compartment to find the factory C30A with ITBs.

No stranger to the local scene is DC2Stylz’s Integra. Punit and Levi had the idea of having a set of monoblock wheels on one side of their car, and multi-piece wheels on the other. Punit had a pair of MF10s on one side, and MF7s on the other. They were bummed they didn’t get to park next to each other at the show, lol. OEM Type R areo, Mugen gen 1 wing, recaros, K24 swapped with ITBs, JRZ suspension… the list goes on for much longer…

Steve from VS One’s newest toy is this Spoon Integra Type R. He recently just traded for this Integra after searching for a Phoenix Yellow ITR for quite some time. A close friend of his was ready to give it up, so the timing just worked out for Steve. If you follow the import scene, you’ll undoubtedly know this car. Iconic for many years already, and will remain iconic for many more to come.

MissBDL’s J’s Racing S2000. Unchanged for this year, but just as eye-catching per usual. A big reason Steve wanted to find a yellow Type R was so that him and Barb could have matching golden era hondas. White SSR Type Cs are the perfect contrast to the OEM Spa Yellow paint.

Eric’s S2000 with a recently large update to his engine bay. Eric had purchased and installed a Kraftwerks supercharger last year, but only got the tune worked out this year. After some challenges, Eric was finally able to figure out all the bugs and kinks and now his car is running 100%.

Eric gave me a ride just a few weeks earlier and I was surprised how torquey his car was… I was surprised to feel that difference in his setup vs mine - with my charger not making as much torque. The Kraftwerks kit for the S2000 does come with a different charger compared to the 8th gen Civic, but the torque difference felt unjust to me 😂. That quick ride along got me itching for a bit more power in my own car… Check out this super rare and great looking BackYard Special carbon radiator cooling plate.

Jason’s S2000 wearing new OEM CR aero. Similar to Ricky, Jason just got his wheel and suspension dialed in for this season. With a new set of Advan GTs and Spoon calipers, Jason has got his S2000 looking close to his final vision of the car. All that’s left now is an the ever so rare and coveted OEM hardtop.

The judges were making their rounds and Mark made sure to check Jason’s wheel barrels. While the wheel barrels were clean, the judges did find some missed dirty spots along the soft top… Jason has become a victim of his own doing…

Lucky 8 Automotive Repair’s Nissan R32 GTR. Levi’s recent update for this year was getting a set of custom set of Nismo LM-GT1 built so that he could have them in the exact specifications he was after. Levi has a busy schedule and hardly gets time to actually enjoy shows. He typically rolls in to stage the car, leaves and comes back at the end of the show to collect a trophy and then leaves.

In the background here, check out how JC and Mark pointing out to everyone how Jason missed cleaning off the dirt along the soft-top.

On the other side of Levi’s GTR are his monoblock set of LM-GT4s.

Eric’s Nissan S15 Silvia. It looks to have remained unchanged for this year, but as it sits slammed on a set of SSR Professor SP1s, this Silvia is always turns heads.

VS One was bringing some Subaru heat this year. Timmie’s full Voltex GD STi has a great presence with it’s classic bronze on blue combo.

Tristan’s full Varis Ultimate GR WRX - another show favourite. I think this year he changed up his headlights with a new set, but I’m unfamiliar with who makes these.

Parked beside Tristan’s car is another Varis kitted WRX STi, with this one being their Version 2 widebody kit. Aired out on Volk 21C, I believe this car was just recently finished, or I just haven’t seen it before.

This Subaru Legacy GT rounds off the Subaru line-up for VS One. The stance on this Legacy looks great with a meaty tire size and OG CE28N. Along with the wheel set-up, this car hints to have seen track time as the owner also had their helmet and racing gloves on display on the front passenger seat.

Anthony’s Acura RSX with a Feel’s front bumper and wide fenders. He rounds off the front end with a Mugen hood as well. A set of colour-matching SSR GTX01 and great fitting tires ties his car together nicely.

Scott’s FK8 Civic Type R. Advan GTs and a Voltex wing with paint matched end plates. He also picked up Cerakote’s headlight restoration kit from the Black Box Automotive booth that day to fix up that dreaded headlight haze 🙂.

Raymond’s A90 Supra looks unchanged as well sitting on BBS LMs and wearing GBR Aero. I think he was also parked in the same location as last year too, lol.

Stratosphere Blue Supra also equipped with BBS LMs. Aimgain carbon lip and side skirts are found wrapping around the lower portion of this car.

Sayber Design’s carbon front lip and side skirts can be found on Tunerdecal’s Supra. A Varis wing and Advan GTs finishes off the exterior styling.

Tunerdecal’s Genesis. Carbon front lip, front grille, side skirts, carbon Voltex swan neck, and Advan TC-4s are some of the notable modifications made to the exterior of this Genesis. The entire car wrapped in a subtle but sharp satin bronze colour.

Tunerdecal’s FR-S wearing a full Varis widebody kit. The Pressed Graphite TE37SL offset the wrapped gloss cyan body colour and accents of carbon nicely.

JC’s IS300 F Sport on Mag Blue TE37 Sagas. Always clean.

The sleek duo of Romel and Jim’s 1st gen Celicas. It is incredible to see these cars (70’s era) kept in such immaculate shape, let alone modified so tastefully as well.

Taking a look into the engine bay of Jim’s Celica and you’ll find a turbocharged factory motor. All of the details and modifications look quite modern. If you didn’t know any better (like me), the only part that really looks dates this engine are the spark plug wires. All new hardware, adjustable camber plates, and polished intake manifold are just a few hints of details that keep this engine bay looking modern.

Also showing with the classic Toyotas is this 2nd gen Celica in showroom condition as well. An SSR classic Formula Mesh wheel sets this Celica off just right. I didn’t end up getting a photo of the engine bay, but this Celica was turbocharged.

A 2nd gen Celica (manufactured between 1977 and 1981) hooked up to a laptop (didn’t get specs) is crazy. The Tenzo R racing seats are so period correct too.

One of my personal favourites from the show was this one owner factory supercharged MR2 with Work Equip 40 wheels. This was kept in such nice shape. I recently saw one (NA) at a local dealership on display in the showroom, and this one was in way better shape. That goes to show just how rare these are now.

Varis Ultimate Aero kitted Evo X representing in the Beyond Auto booth with Volk ZE40s, and a pair of red Recaro RS-GS inside.

FK8 Civic Type R on Umber Bronze Advan GTs and a J’s Racing sports grille, also with Beyond Auto.

Aldrin’s V3 Rocket Bunny FR-S. This year he switched out his TE37Vs in favour of a new set of Volk 21As.

Jeff’s Nissan Silvia S15 Spec R with perfect spec’d Nismo LM-GT4s. Representing Beyond Auto as well.

9th gen Civic Si with some crazy fitment tucking SSR Koenig. Underglow in sync with the jewel LED headlights.

Another boost blue FK8 Civic Type R with black Advan GTs butted up against Scott’s matching FK8.

RHD Lifted Cayenne with a bunch of auxiliary lighting and Black Rhino Arsenal and a matching 5th full size spare in the trunk.

Guiseppe’s Varis Kamikaze-R R35 GTR with VEX Performance. This GTR is executed so well in regards to the overall build. Style and fitment of the kit looks perfect with the Advan R6 wheels.

I wish I was able to get better photos of both of these Imprezas, but how their booth was set up made it difficult for pictures. Both were great looking cars.

Ryan of VEX Performance’s RX-7 with a MazdaSpeed A-Spec bumper, rear wing, and MazdaSpeed MS1 wheels.

I couldn’t tell you about everything that is going on here, but I can say that a lot of parts and upgrades have been added through-out this engine bay. Upon first glance, I notice that entire car is controlled by a Haltech Nexus R3 VCU. Almost every component looks to have received and upgraded aftermarket variant. It doesn’t even need to be said, but I will say it anyway, clearly lots of time and effort went into building this motor to make reliable and healthy horsepower.

Kraftwerks supercharged 9th gen Civic Si donning a yellow wrap. Looks to also have a custom splitter and side skirts built by Infamous Aero.

Flex Auto’s booth with a FK8 Civic Type R and a widebody Mustang. The cars were parked too closely together to get and I couldn’t get a shot of them individually.

Also representing under the Flex Auto booth was this Liberty Walk R35 GTR. I don’t recall the wheels, but they feature a wide carbon lip.

Sleep EK Civic with a K-swap hiding under the hood. Also some sort of downpipe(?) propping the hood up. I don’t quite understand the idea of only slightly opening up your hood - it’s kinda like you want people to see, but also, not really.

But also maybe this owner had something they wanted to keep a bit of a secret… tucked out of plain sight on the floor behind the passenger seat was this bottle wrapped in a heater…

Varis Version 1 widebody Evo X sitting stage side. Interior featured a pair of Recaro Pole Positions, gutted rear, and a full cage along with a Vertex steering wheel. On the exterior, a bronze set of TE37 Saga S Plus wheels compliment the teal body colour.

Full Varis widebody Subaru WRX STi with First Gear Project. Another classic and timeless combination of bronze on blue. Volk 21Cs with a beefy tire give this Subaru an athletic stance.

Another angle of the First Gear Project’s Mugen FD2R inside the main hall. I love yellow on an FD2, but colour me biased - this chassis looks great in all different colours.

Jon’s ASM S2000 inside the main hall. Kid on the side is loving the S2000 (I think).

An angle of Jamie’s RSX inside and staging with First Gear Project.

Jolo’s mint Varis Evo X. Jolo usually rolls around in his S2000, so seeing this out in the wild is a welcome change. Tastefully modded if you ask me. Keeping it subtle and clean and commands your attention without screaming out for it.

Nissan 370Z with flawed crew. Nismo front bumper and carbon hood and fenders were paint matched, with some of the carbon elements left exposed. Chrome Work Emotion DR9 wheels pull it all together.

An Infiniti G37 with a similar recipe as the previous 370Z. Stanced out on air suspension and Work Meisters. The exterior also features a dark purple wrap and an exposed carbon hood with AlphaRex headlights.

Hyundai Genesis also with the Flawed crew featuring some wild stance with the fenders and quarters tucking right in-between the wheel and tire while also having the car being slammed right on the ground. The exterior also had a very interesting colour shifting wrap.

Widebody IS300 also carrying out the flawed crew theme of being slammed. This IS300’s wheel of choice being Work VS-KFs with huge dish and aggressive front aero and a Voltex wing in the back to match.

This IS300 looks to have remained the same since I saw it last year, also at the Rev Up show. Looking just as clean this year too.

Kouki S14 rocking a Vertex front bumper, BN Sport wide fenders (I think?), and TE37V wheels. Inside it has a full cage and Bride seats.

So Scare Social Club was there selling merch during the show.

So Scare BMW G87 M2. MHC carbon front lip and side skirts.

RHD GF Subaru Impreza STi in a rare factory Cashmere (sports) Yellow paint.

Aaron from JDM Rescue showed up with a K-swapped EG Civic.

I wanted to take a picture of my car but these guys figured I wanted one of them instead.

Scott getting bullied into getting a Cerakote headlight restoration kit, but for his own good.

Ricky’s Supra representing with Black Box Automotive.

Anthony’s Series 10 FR-S in the limited Silver Ignition paint scheme. Anthony has quite subtle taste and keeps his mods OEM+. With JDM headights, carbon front lip and side skirt, TRD fender fins and TRD rear decklid spoiler, Anthony keeps it simple. A well fitting set of Gram Lights 57Xtreme maintains the clean aesthetic. Underneath the hood, the factory FA20 gets a boost with a Kraftwerks supercharger.

Jay’s Jetta with the Still Plays with Cars group. Super clean and with an extensive modification list.

Looking into the rear of his Jetta, You’re immediately drawn to the pleated leather details in the back seats which also carries over onto to the rear deck lid, arm rest, door cards and pillars. Check out that sick rear sunshade too.

The pleated leather extends into the front and is found along the A pillar, door cards and even the floor mats. Wood trim accents the dash and console. I’ll need to take a closer look next time I see this out.

Another angle of the Thunder Bunny MK5 GTI.

The Audi RS4 is such an awesome and rare car itself in stock form. This one from Still Play with Cars is tastefully modified with carbon accents and 3 piece wheels. I remember seeing this for the first time a few years back at a FR-S/BRZ meet up and I was geeking out about it then. Still great to see today.

Satin white C6 Corvette lowered onto Apex wheels. Corvettes have such a classic silhouette and I think everyone can appreciate the beauty of these vehicles.

At this show I learned that this G37 is wrapped. I always thought it was paint because the colour had such great depth and the wrap job was done extremely well. I mean look at the reflection in the door - even in this photo it shows pretty good definition… some paint doesn’t even shine this well 🤫. Anyways, looking good as always aired out on Work VS-XX.

Ford Mustang GT with some carbon accents and American Racing wheels. This Mustang had an extensive list of work and parts added to it, however I’m not educated enough on these cars to comment about it. Looks real nice, however.

The Sub 60 Racing line-up consisting of three white FD3S Mazda RX-7s and a Miata, a group that brought forth the absolute best in terms of function and form and each car being in showroom condition.

Relatively stock exterior with a factory front lip, Ganador mirrors and carbon side skirts. White on white with the choice of TE37 Sagas. Inside you find the a pair of ultra rare Spirit R Recaros.

Pictured above is the engine bay of Yifan’s RX-7. The tucked and shaved engine bay makes the 3 rotor engine with ITB look as if it’s floating. This is so well done, it’s actually flawless. I don’t know if people can truly appreciate the work done here as only a small few understand what it actually takes to accomplish this and to achieve a result like this. Check out the rotary shaped bolts that hold down the front cooling plate.

Somehow I missed getting a photo of the actual car while inside the venue, but I did get some earlier and after while he was leaving (posted below).

This Miata was clearly built with the Sub 60 Racing philosophy. Garage Vary(?) front lip, carbon skirts are some of the simple additions to the exterior keeping it OEM+.

This Miata also has a shaved and tucked engine bay. The factory heart has been upgraded most notably with ITBs. Great work 👏.

This LHD RX-7 with BBS RG-R wheels that BBS made specifically for Mazda, hence the perfect fitment. Notice the provision for the license plate on the front bumper of this LHD vs the RHD one pictured above.

Import Bible’s Datsun 240Z drawing lots of attention that day.

Phuong’s FL5 Civic Type R equipped with Varis front and rear fender trim, Spoon Sports front lip, Voltex wing, and Volk Racing ZE40s.

Most notable and unique modifications done to this FL5 are the painted carbon bits that are found in multiple spots around the car. Here is the carbon Spoon Sports lip coated over in a green clear so that it’s transparent and you’re able to still see the carbon weave.

Volk ZE40 in Racing Green.

The same treatment given to the Voltex wing.

John’s A90 Supra with the Invision Auto booth, who also made the trip down to Calgary from Edmonton. Very nice and well put together Supra.

Wide body MR2 also representing from Edmonton.

Varis Arising wide body Impreza WRX STi wrapped in matte pink.

Clean EG with a B series under the hood. Spoon twin block calipers sitting behind TE37 Sonics.

Garage 111 booth with Saga Wear merch for sale through-out the day.

John’s newly finished EM1 Civic with the factory B16A2 in it still. Super nice wide body Varis STi on Racing Green TE37s Sagas as well.

Carlo’s super clean M3. One of the many faces behind the Rev Up Autoshow.

FL5 Civic Type R with Mugen front lip, and Mugen MF10s.

Super clean FK8 with Mugen aero including the front lip, side skirts, rear lip and rear spoiler. Varis Arising front hood is a very nice touch to change up the full otherwise full Mugen theme. New Volk Racing CE28N+ wheels look great as well.

Nice GR Supra on ZE40s and carbon front lip, skirts and mirrors.

Colour shifting wrap on this BMW M4.

G80 M3 with BBS LM-Rs. I really enjoyed this combo. I also remember the paint on this M3 looking incredible - it had great depth and a subtle metallic flake in it. Perfect example of a well detailed car.

A look into the interior of the M3 with the factory carbon buckets in a really nice black/orange colour way. Great match against the grey metallic exterior.

Exposed carbon on the back of the seats.

Over in the Redline Sorority group, first is Blair’s purple Ford Fiesta ST with an extensive modification list.

Staged beside is Redline Sorority’s White Focus ST with also a laundry list of mods.

Great colour choice on this Miata.

Pear green FR-S on pink Gram Lights 57DRs and dressed in carbon accents.

Black on black WRX STi.

First time seeing one of this - I’m not even sure what it is. Evil Patrick dons the underside of the hood for some reason. Lol.

UCalgary Racing’s Formula SAE electric race car called the UCR-01. Quite the impressive build from the engineering students of UCalgary Racing.

Trenton’s S2000 with a J’s Racing front half spoiler and Advan RG II wheels.

Clean Toyota 86 with bronze ZE40s.

Bill’s S15 Silvia. He’s been putting in a ton of work designing custom bits and pieces for his car. Love to see the creativity and thought that he’s been putting into the small details to set this car apart from the rest. It’s been fun to follow along with his ideas and progress.

Shaved and tucked engine bay. Lots of little details underneath the hood and trunk of this car.

Pair of GR Corolla’s both on some bronze variant of Volk Racing TE37s.

Infiniti G37 on Vossen wheels with an interesting carbon hood that had a plexi-glass cutout.

Colourshifting wrap on this BMW E90 3 Series on all black ESR wheels.

Suzuki Carry kei truck. Looking unchanged since last year, but just as clean.

M3 aired out on Apex wheels. Carbon front lip, skirts, mirror caps and factory carbon roof option.

Vintage Mercedes 300 SEL aired out.

Millenium Jade WRX with a change up in wheels this year with 3 piece SSR Professors SP5s.

10th gen Civic on ESR wheels and flexing a pylon.

Simple and clean S15 lowered on Nissan R33 GTR wheels and a pair of illest x Bride collaboration Zeta seats.

Miata with all the windows deleted…

All green interior wrapped in suede. I respect the vision and effort, but the execution could have had higher consideration. I wonder what this is like to drive. Lol.

Rocket Bunny FR-S. At one point a few years ago, I feel these were a dime a dozen, but now they’ve all seemed to vanish. I think they still look pretty cool.

Evo X on Gram Lights 57DRs and splitters all around.

Miata on XXR wheels. Interesting fenders…

Audi RS3 on VMR wheels and carbon lip, skirts all around.

S15 Silvia with gold Advan AVS Model 6 wheels.

MK6 GTI on TE37s. Also with a front splitter. I’ve noticed a lot of splitters lately on cars (especially at this show) that all share the same silhouette or style. Is this a new fad, or has this always been a thing?

Subaru WRX dressed as a Red Bull purple edition can. Chrome Gram Lights 57CRs and pointy splitter.

370Z Nismo with Work Emotion CRs.

10th gen Civic with Work Emotion ZR10s and pointy splitter.

Subaru Forester STi with Enkei TS-10s. Clean.

Newer body style Subaru Impreza with an interesting choice of wheel - not a style you would typically see on a Japanese vehicle. It doesn’t look bad at all, though.

Heading into the main entrance of the convention centre, we see Josh’s clean FB Civic Si. TE37 Sagas in front the Brembo BBK and a carbon kevlar Password JDM front lip. A pair of red Recaro RS-GS keeps the driver and passenger planted inside.

Kraftwerks supercharged K24Z7.

Joseph’s Spoon FK8 which also adorned a Spoon Sports livery. Really looks great and almost identical looking to the actual Spoon Sports endurance race car. This was one of my personal favourites of the show,

Cholo’s spoon FK8 in the factory Championship White paint. It was cool to see both Spoon FK8s side by side with the same aero - just styled differently - street vs race, I guess you could say.

Cholo being Spoon Sports biggest advocate even showing off a catalogue and a place card that looks to be of marketing material and even a signed Spoon air intake duct by Spoon founder, Tatsuru Ichishima.

In the trunk, you guessed it - more Spoon Sports branded merchandise.

Scotty's vintage Chevy Task Force 3100 pickup truck in a gorgeous teal and white colour way.

The truck bed shows off just some of the extensive work done on the truck, highlighting the air suspension system and also the rear driveline. Did not expect to see anything like this at the show.

Mark’s new BMW M2 with Revozport front bumper, fenders, rear spoiler and Vorsteiner hood and lip.

Fitted with a great fitting set of Volk Racing ZE40s. Aggressive looking car and pretty wild to see, All the parts fit perfectly and the car has a great presence. Crazy.

BMW M4 with Laptorr front bumper and Voltex rear wing sitting on ZE40s. A pair of Recaro Podium CF buckets are mounted inside.

Ryan’s Super Street featured Ferrari F355. Seeing a stock F335 already is rare - seeing one so tastefully modded with hints of Japanese influence is just something else incredible. Staged front and centre for good reason. This was definitely the headliner of the entire show.

It was a long day for everyone who was a part of the show and I was especially feeling fatigued towards the end - but as the show was ending and people were getting ready to leave, I got a second wind knowing that my favourite part of the day (us all leaving) was coming up. Ever since last year’s show, I’ve been wanting to get photos of cars leaving the venue as the convention centre makes for a unique backdrop - at least in Calgary. We don’t often have car shows held indoors, and none that are as nice and well lit as the Telus Convention Centre.

I made an honest effort trying to get a photo of every car leaving, but of course only a handful turn out. Everything was moving so quickly and I was also playing around with different shutter speeds during roll out so many of these are all from the same angle, but I tried to get some different perspectives when I could.

My favourite capture of the entire day.

Taking this photo made me feel poor.

Rev Up continually brings out some of the absolute best tuners from Alberta and beyond. It was great to see some new cars, as well as old and how people are still trying to push and evolve their cars over the years. Thanks again to the entire crew, exhibitors, spectators and everyone else involved who made this event a fun one.
